Overview
The Rugged Science RAC-1000 is an IP67 sealed rugged AI computer powered by NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin or AGX Xavier. Its machined aluminum enclosure is designed to withstand water immersion, dust, shock and vibration, making it suitable for autonomous vehicles, intelligent transportation, outdoor robotics and defense deployments.
The platform supports up to eight GMSL 1/2 camera inputs over Fakra-Z connectors for multi-camera perception, with fully sealed M12 I/O for Ethernet, USB, serial, CAN and display. Wide 9-50V DC input and software ignition control allow it to run directly from vehicle electrical systems with 80V transient protection.
Rugged Science designs, assembles and tests its systems in-house in the United States, with long-lifecycle components and MIL-STD-810G shock/vibration qualification. QS Compute supplies the RAC-1000 alongside its NAC-1000 and EAC series cousins.
