Overview
The Lanner EAI-I132 is a fanless industrial edge AI appliance built on the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX or Orin Nano module, delivering up to 100 TOPS of on-device inference. It sits in Lanner's EAI edge inference line above the existing EAI-I131 and EAI-I233 platforms, and its distinguishing feature is integration rather than raw compute.
Two details separate it from a generic Jetson box. First, dual PoE+ ports delivering up to 60 W combined mean IP cameras, LiDAR units and industrial sensors connect straight to the appliance without separate power injection hardware or an intermediate switch — which removes a device, a power outlet and a failure point from every deployment. Second, the operating range is -40 to 70 C with no fan, which puts it in pole-mounted cabinets, unheated roadside enclosures and vehicle bays rather than a temperature-controlled server room.
The industrial I/O set is aimed at control as well as inference: two COM ports, four digital inputs and two digital outputs, dual USB 3.0, and expansion for Wi-Fi, 5G Sub-6 or LTE plus optional GPS and a G-sensor. That combination lets the same appliance run a vision model and act on its output — driving a relay, signalling a PLC over serial, or reporting position over cellular from a moving vehicle.
Software support is NVIDIA JetPack SDK 6.0, so the standard Jetson Linux, CUDA-X and model-conversion toolchain applies and models can be moved between this appliance and other Orin-based systems without a rewrite. QS Compute quotes the EAI-I132 alongside the rest of the Lanner EAI family and the wider Orin module tiers.
Key Benefits
PoE+ up to 60 W on two ports eliminates separate injectors and intermediate switches for camera-heavy deployments. -40 to 70 C fanless operation covers roadside, pole-mount and vehicle environments. Up to 100 TOPS from Orin NX runs multi-stream video analytics locally with no cloud backhaul. COM, DI/DO and USB industrial I/O let the appliance close the control loop, not just report inference. M.2 expansion for 5G, Wi-Fi, GPS and NVMe adapts one SKU to fixed and mobile sites. JetPack 6.0 keeps the software stack standard across the Jetson fleet.
Applications
Traffic analytics and intelligent transportation systems; PPE and safety compliance monitoring on production floors; mobile and vehicle-mounted vision systems; industrial autonomous systems and robotics; perimeter and site security analytics; remote utility and infrastructure inspection; edge video analytics where cellular is the only backhaul.
