Overview
The Tektronix 7 Series DPO is the company's high-end digital phosphor oscilloscope platform, and the DPO718AX is positioned as the world's first eight-channel performance oscilloscope, delivering up to 25 GHz analog bandwidth per channel with 125 GS/s sampling.
Instrument compute is substantial: a 12-core AMD EPYC Embedded 3351 CPU, an NVIDIA T1000 GPU with 896 CUDA cores, 96 GB of RAM and 1.6 TB of storage sit behind a 15.6-inch touchscreen. A 10 Gbps SFP+ link with Tektronix TekHSI technology raises waveform transfer throughput to an external PC by up to 11x.
Key Benefits
Eight simultaneous 25 GHz channels removes the need to multiplex wide parallel buses; 125 GS/s sampling captures fast serial edges without interpolation; TekHSI over 10 Gbps SFP+ cuts offline analysis time; 96 GB RAM and 1.6 TB storage allow long acquisitions to be captured and post-processed locally.
Applications
High-speed serial compliance testing (PCIe, Ethernet and memory interfaces), wideband RF analysis, high-energy physics research and advanced signal-integrity characterisation.
