Overview
The RIGOL DHO900 series is a high-performance, economical 12-bit digital oscilloscope family aimed at R&D, education and scientific research. Its 12-bit vertical resolution provides 4096 levels of quantisation — sixteen times finer than a conventional 8-bit scope — which materially improves waveform measurement accuracy in power ripple testing and medical-equipment detection.
Every model ships with digital channels standard, so pairing a DHO900 with the PLA2216 logic-analysis probe turns it into a mixed-signal oscilloscope for simultaneous analog and digital debugging. The S-suffix models add Bode-plot loop analysis for switch-mode power-supply characterisation, and the Type-C power input lets field engineers run the instrument from a power bank.
