Overview
The NVIDIA ConnectX-6 Dx MCX623106AN-CDAT is the dual-port 100GbE Ethernet member of the ConnectX-6 Dx family. It is the workhorse SmartNIC for servers that need two independent 100G Ethernet uplinks on a single PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, without moving all the way to 200G or 400G per-port hardware.
What distinguishes the Dx generation is the security and offload block: hardware IPsec and MACsec, inline cryptographic acceleration, and ASAP2 (Accelerated Switch and Packet Processing) which pushes the virtual switch datapath into the adapter. For AI and storage clusters that run RoCEv2, that combination keeps RDMA traffic on the wire at line rate while the host CPU stays free for the workload.
