Overview
Vantron's SMARC modules are computer-on-modules in the standard SMARC form factor, offered on two processor platforms: the NXP i.MX 9 series and the Rockchip RK3568. A SMARC module carries the CPU, memory and core I/O on a small board that plugs into a customer-designed or off-the-shelf carrier, so a product line can be re-spun around a new processor without redesigning the mechanical and connector interface.
Vantron is a 2002-founded embedded computing supplier whose portfolio runs from industrial motherboards and single board computers through box PCs, HMIs and data-acquisition devices to full ODM/OEM services, and its stated solution areas include edge AI machine vision, mobile robot controllers and in-vehicle computing. These SMARC modules extend that portfolio into the modular-COM part of the market.
Key Benefits
Standard SMARC form factor lets one carrier host multiple processor generations. Two platforms - NXP i.MX 9 and Rockchip RK3568 - cover different performance and lifecycle needs. Modular design shortens product re-spin cycles. Industrial embedded vendor with accompanying carrier and system products.
Applications
Industrial HMI and control panels, IoT edge gateways, mobile robot and AGV controllers, in-vehicle computing, machine vision front ends, and embedded products that want a modular COM instead of a full custom board design.
