Overview
The Jetway SMC-ARK1 is a SMARC 2.1 short-form-factor system-on-module built on the Rockchip RK3588 octa-core processor. It is among the first SMARC modules to bring the RK3588 platform - 4x Cortex-A76 plus 4x Cortex-A55 cores, a Mali-G610 MP4 GPU and a 6 TOPS NPU - into the standard 82 x 50 mm SMARC footprint, so it can be dropped onto any compliant SMARC 2.1 carrier board.
Memory and storage are fully populated on-module to keep carrier design simple: 8 GB or 16 GB of LPDDR4x at 4266 MT/s and 64 GB or 128 GB of eMMC flash. Dual Gigabit Ethernet controllers, a Wi-Fi 5 / Bluetooth 5.0 module with two MHF antenna connectors, HDMI input and up to 8K video decode make the module a complete edge AI compute core for vision, HMI and industrial gateway designs.
All peripheral signals break out through the 314-pin MXM edge connector: HDMI 2.1 and eDP display, multiple MIPI CSI camera lanes, PCIe 2.0, SATA, USB 2.0 / 3.0 and Type-C with OTG, plus GPIO, I2C, SPI and UART for industrial I/O.
