Overview

The EDATEC ED-SBC3300 is an industrial mini-ITX motherboard that takes a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 and turns it into a panel-mount, cabinet-mount or rack-installable board with proper industrial headers. It is the CM5 successor to the CM4-based ED-SBC2300 and keeps the same design intent: take the CM5's compute, memory and connectivity and re-expose it in a form factor an integrator can bolt into a machine.

Four SKUs cover the range. The ED-SBC3310 and 3320 are the single-Ethernet variants, with the 3320 adding LVDS and audio for panel applications. The 3311 and 3321 add a second Gigabit Ethernet port, and both the 3311 and 3321 sit at the top of the I/O ladder. PoE is an option on the first Ethernet port, which is often the deciding feature for a ceiling- or pole-mounted node where a separate power run is not practical.

Display support runs two independent paths — HDMI 2.1 at 4Kp60 and a 2× 15-pin LVDS header with selectable 3.3 V, 5 V or 12 V panel rail plus separate backlight power and control headers. Memory scales from 2 GB to 16 GB of LPDDR4-4267 with ECC and storage from 16 GB to 64 GB of eMMC, with a microSD slot for user expansion. Seven USB 3.0/2.0 interfaces and the CM5's optional Wi-Fi 5 / Bluetooth 5 round it out.

Key Benefits

CM5 with real ECC. Up to 16 GB LPDDR4-4267 with error correction, which is not available on a stock Raspberry Pi 5. Panel-ready display paths. HDMI 2.1 at 4Kp60 plus a selectable 3.3/5/12 V LVDS header with independent backlight control — designed for industrial panels rather than a desk monitor. PoE-capable and dual-Ethernet SKUs. One SKU can be powered over the data cable and still carry a second network port. Long-life CM5 supply path. Rasppberry Pi CM5 has a published long-term availability commitment, which is what industrial buyers need.

Applications

Industrial HMI and panel computers, machine controllers, kiosk and digital-signage motherboards, building automation head-ends, vision-system compute boards, laboratory and test instrumentation, educational and research platforms.
