Overview

The ARBOR COMX-A300 is a COM-HPC Client computer-on-module built on Intel Core Ultra silicon, supporting up to 96 GB of DDR5 at 6400 MT/s. COM-HPC is the PICMG successor to COM Express for high-bandwidth applications: it moves far more PCIe lanes and higher memory bandwidth to the carrier than Type 6 can, which is what makes the 6400 MT/s memory speed and the Core Ultra NPU usable at full rate.

ARBOR positions the module at demanding AI workloads across manufacturing, logistics and industrial automation — typically multi-camera vision, anomaly detection and robot guidance running at the machine rather than in a plant server room. 96 GB of DDR5 is the configuration that keeps several concurrent inference streams resident in memory without eviction.

As a COM-HPC Client module, the COMX-A300 deliberately leaves all application-specific I/O to the carrier board, so integrators keep control of connector selection, ingress protection and certification while standardising on a single validated compute module across a product family.
