Overview
Critical Link's MitySOM family gives embedded product teams a single vendor path across three very different compute profiles: FPGA programmable logic, mainstream edge AI, and low-power industrial control. All three are production-ready System on Modules with the carrier-board separation that lets an OEM build one product platform and scale it across performance tiers.
The MitySOM-A5E is built on the Altera Agilex 5 E-Series FPGA and is offered in three levels — a full-featured system on module, a smaller SOM for size- or budget-constrained designs, and a single board computer for maximum integration speed. The MitySOM-QC6490 uses Qualcomm's Dragonwing QCS6490 processor with up to 12 TOPS of AI performance and multi-camera support, targeting vision AI and industrial IoT endpoints. The MitySOM-AM62x/A/P is based on Texas Instruments' Sitara AM62x / AM62A / AM62P processors for lower-power HMI and industrial gateway applications.
Two of these families — the MitySOM-QC6490 and the MitySOM-A5E family — were awarded Embedded Computing Design Best in Show at embedded world North America. Critical Link supplements the silicon with US-based engineering and production, custom carrier board design, software and hardware design services, and long-term design maintenance commitments suited to industrial product lifecycles.
Key Benefits
One SOM partner, three compute profiles — Agilex 5 FPGA, Dragonwing QCS6490 edge AI and Sitara AM62x control from a single vendor. Production-ready modules with carrier-board separation, BSP support and long lifecycle commitments, plus US-based engineering and production and award-winning silicon.
Applications
Industrial vision and camera systems, FPGA-based signal and sensor processing, edge AI inference endpoints, industrial HMI and control panels, medical and test instrumentation, and long-lifecycle embedded products that require sustained module supply.
