Overview
Critical Link's MitySOM-AM62A is the AI-focused member of its TI Sitara AM62-based industrial SO-DIMM family. On top of the Cortex-A53 application cores and Cortex-M4F real-time microcontroller it adds a C7x DSP with a Matrix Multiply Accelerator rated at up to 2 TOPS, plus an integrated image signal processor.
The module sits alongside MitySOM-AM62 for general-purpose embedded Linux work and MitySOM-AM62P for multimedia designs that need a 3D GPU and quad-lane MIPI DSI output. The SO-DIMM form factor keeps carrier-board design simple and lets a product scale across the three variants.
Key Benefits
2 TOPS of DSP-based vision acceleration inside a standard SO-DIMM module; integrated ISP supports camera pipelines without extra silicon; pin-compatible family lets a design step up to AI or multimedia without a new carrier; embedded Linux and TI Sitara toolchain maturity lower software risk.
Applications
Industrial machine vision and inspection, HMI panels, industrial automation controllers, medical and analytical instruments, and embedded Linux edge devices requiring on-module vision acceleration.
