Overview

The Banana Pi BPI-CM7 is an Allwinner H618 compute module in the style of a credit-card-class SoM. It combines a quad-core 64-bit Arm Cortex-A53 processor running at up to 1.5 GHz with an Arm Mali-G31 GPU, onboard LPDDR4 memory and eMMC storage on a compact module footprint.

Two 100-pin board-to-board connectors expose HDMI, Fast Ethernet, USB, microSD and a broad set of general-purpose interfaces including GPIO, UART, TWI/I2C, SPI, PWM, I2S/PCM, DMIC, SPDIF and IR. Wireless connectivity comes from a K019 Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 module with a U.FL/IPEX antenna connector.

Software support covers Android and Linux, with Banana Pi documenting an Armbian 24.11.1 Jammy image based on Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS with a Linux 5.4.125 sunxi64 kernel. The module pairs with Banana Pi's BPI-CM7IO carrier board, which exposes the full peripheral set for industrial and embedded designs.

Key Benefits

Quad-core Allwinner H618 with Mali-G31 GPU; onboard LPDDR4 and eMMC for a compact footprint; Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 with antenna connector; and Armbian/Android support with dual 100-pin connectors for carrier-board designs.

Applications

Industrial control and HMI, edge computing and IoT gateways, digital signage, kiosks, smart home and building automation, and maker/embedded prototype platforms.
