Overview

The ADLINK COM-HPC-mPTL is a COM-HPC R1.3 Mini computer-on-module built on Intel's Core Ultra Series 3 Panther Lake-H processors, topping out at the 16-core Core Ultra X7 358H. That SKU combines a 12-core Xe3 graphics block rated at 122 TOPS with a 50 TOPS NPU, giving the module a platform total around 180 TOPS — a step above what previous-generation COM-HPC Mini modules could offer inside the same 25 W base power envelope.

What is notable for integrators is that the platform AI performance now arrives through three different engines that a single application can use together: the NPU for sustained low-power inference, the Xe3 GPU for larger parallel workloads, and the CPU cores for control and orchestration. Panther Lake also keeps the 25 W PBP figure across the three SKUs, so the thermal design of a carrier does not have to change when moving between the 8-core, 16-core and top 16-core parts.

Memory runs to 64 GB of LPDDR5x at 7467 or 8533 MT/s depending on SKU, with an optional onboard NVMe SSD co-laid on PCIe lanes 4 and 5. Two Intel I226 2.5 Gbps controllers provide Ethernet with TSN available as a build option, which matters for time-synchronised industrial and vision networks. The 400-pin COM-HPC connector exposes three USB4 ports with DisplayPort alt mode, up to four independent displays across two DDI channels, eight PCIe Gen5 lanes, four PCIe Gen4 lanes, two MIPI-CSI FFC connectors for cameras and two UARTs with console redirection.

Key Benefits

Up to 180 TOPS in a COM-HPC Mini module. Panther Lake-H brings a 122 TOPS Xe3 graphics block plus a 50 TOPS NPU into the small COM-HPC footprint. Constant 25 W PBP across SKUs. Moving between the 8-core, 16-core and top 16-core parts does not force a carrier or thermal redesign. TSN-capable 2.5GbE. Two Intel I226 controllers with Time-Sensitive Networking as a build option for synchronised industrial networks. Camera and display ready. Two MIPI-CSI connectors plus up to four independent displays over two DDIs and USB4.

Applications

Machine vision and inspection systems, medical imaging and diagnostic equipment, industrial robotics controllers, autonomous vehicle and avionics compute, broadcast and professional video, network security and edge AI appliances.
