Overview
The ADLINK cExpress-R8 is a COM Express R3.1 Type 6 Compact module built on AMD Ryzen Embedded 8000 Series processors. Combining up to 8 Zen 4 cores (16 threads), integrated AMD RDNA 3 graphics and an XDNA NPU, it delivers up to roughly 40 TOPS of edge AI inference — enough to run computer-vision and generative-AI workloads on-device.
As a computer-on-module, the cExpress-R8 plugs into an application-specific carrier board, letting designers scale CPU, GPU and NPU performance while keeping their custom I/O. It supports up to 96 GB of DDR5 and carries a 10-year embedded lifecycle, making it suitable for long-lived industrial, medical and robotics platforms.
