Overview
The PFP-IV is a PCIe-format Kintex UltraScale+ FPGA board carrying an FMC+ interface for high-speed mezzanine expansion. TECHWAY builds it for real-time processing workloads where a host PC supplies power, cooling and storage but the FPGA owns the latency-critical path.
At FPGA Horizons 2026 TECHWAY ran a live 100 Gbps optical link between the PFP-IV and Samtec FireFly mid-board optical modules, demonstrating that the board's high-speed serial resources can drive optical transport at line rate. The same vendor family includes high-speed FMC+ interfaces and ready-to-use sFPDP platforms for sensor and avionics front ends.
Key Benefits
FMC+ expansion lets one carrier board accept a wide range of ADC, DAC and optical mezzanines. PCIe host interface keeps the system on standard server or industrial-PC hardware. Demonstrated 100 Gbps optical link proves the serial path handles line-rate transport. Kintex UltraScale+ DSP density supports real-time filtering and transform pipelines.
Applications
Real-time signal and sensor processing, radar and electronic-warfare front ends, optical data transport, aerospace and defence data acquisition, and instrumentation that needs deterministic latency rather than throughput alone.
