Overview
NATvision is N.A.T.'s FPGA framework for image acquisition and processing. Instead of writing camera-interface logic from scratch, developers get in-house GigE Vision and CoaXPress stacks plus a GenICam interface running in FPGA fabric, so image data reaches the processing pipeline without a software round trip.
That architecture is aimed squarely at multi-camera systems. Camera interfaces, packet handling and framing all live in the FPGA, which keeps latency low and predictable as the camera count grows, while the framework supplies the infrastructure so engineering effort goes into the application-specific pipeline rather than into re-implementing a vision standard.
Key Benefits
GigE Vision and CoaXPress in fabric removes the software-capture bottleneck. GenICam interface included lets standard vision software enumerate and control cameras. Low-latency, scalable design holds timing as camera count rises. Infrastructure provided shortens the path from FPGA platform to a working multi-camera inspection system.
Applications
High-speed industrial inspection, quality-control lines, multi-camera measurement cells, scientific imaging, and any data-intensive acquisition system where deterministic latency matters more than host CPU throughput.
