Overview
The Microchip RTG4 FPGA Development Kit is the evaluation and development platform for Microchip's RTG4 family of radiation-tolerant FPGAs. RTG4 devices target space applications where a single cosmic-ray-induced configuration upset can end a mission, so the fabric is built to remain configured and to tolerate radiation rather than to rely on external scrubbing alone.
The kit is intended for developing data transmission, serial connectivity, bus interface and high-speed designs for spacecraft payloads and platforms. It gives a board-level environment in which an RTG4 design can be brought up, exercised and validated before the flight design is committed.
