Overview
Lattice Certus-N2 is a family of small, general-purpose FPGAs built on the Lattice Nexus 2 platform. It is designed to scale across a range of densities, delivering up to 220K system logic cells and up to 8 to 16 Gbps multi-protocol SerDes while keeping package sizes small for space-constrained boards.
Nexus 2 is architected for scalability, and Certus-N2 is the first device family on that platform — it began sampling in December 2024 with the latest releases of Lattice's design tools. The combination of low-power operation, small packages and multi-protocol SerDes makes the family suited to bridging, connectivity, control and edge-compute functions alongside a larger processor or accelerator.
Key Benefits
Up to 220K system logic cells covers small to mid-range FPGA logic. 8-16G multi-protocol SerDes supports high-speed interconnect and bridging. Small-footprint packages fit dense boards. Nexus 2 platform gives a scalable, low-power road map.
Applications
Interface bridging and protocol conversion, connectivity and control logic, edge compute offload, and glue logic alongside CPUs and accelerators.
