Overview
Gowin Semiconductor's LittleBee GW2A family is the cost-optimised mainstream branch of the Gowin FPGA line. The GW2A-18 provides roughly 20,700 LUT4 elements, 828 Kb of block SRAM and 48 DSP multiplier slices on a 55 nm process.
It is used primarily as a cost-down and second-source option in industrial and consumer designs that would otherwise sit on an Intel Cyclone or AMD Spartan device — same class of logic and I/O capability, with an independent supply chain and Gowin's own EDA toolchain.
Key Benefits
Independent second source for designs that would otherwise be single-vendored on Cyclone or Spartan devices. 48 DSP slices and 828 Kb BSRAM cover real filtering and buffering work. QFN88 package option avoids BGA assembly cost on simple boards.
Applications
Cost-driven industrial control logic, LED and display driving, protocol bridging and I/O expansion, motor-control front-ends, consumer and white-goods electronics, and second-source supply programmes.
