Overview
The AMD Kintex UltraScale+ Gen 2 family is AMD's newest mid-range FPGA line, built on a 16 nm FinFET architecture and positioned for medical imaging, industrial automation, test and measurement and broadcast systems. The XC2KU050P is the largest of the three devices, with 491K system logic cells and 225K CLB LUTs.
The family adds up to six hard LPDDR4X/5/5X memory controllers (a large jump in memory bandwidth versus the previous generation's single soft controller), 32 Gb/s GTY transceivers, PCIe Gen4 x8 connectivity and dual 100G CMACs. Pre-production XC2KU050P silicon samples in Q4 2026, with production in the first half of 2027 and device availability through at least 2045.
Key Benefits
491K logic cells and 225K CLB LUTs · six LPDDR5 memory controllers · 24 x 32 Gb/s transceivers · dual 100G CMAC · 16 nm FinFET · availability to 2045.
Applications
Machine vision and medical imaging, industrial real-time control, test and measurement instrumentation, and broadcast/video processing.
