Overview
Allied Vision released an FPGA IP core that it describes as the first to fully implement the newly ratified GigE Vision 3.0 standard. The release coincided with A3's publication of the GigE Vision 3.0 specification in 2026.
GigE Vision 3.0 introduces RoCEv2-based streaming, which raises Ethernet throughput well beyond the 10 Gbps ceiling of earlier GigE Vision implementations and reduces host CPU involvement in the streaming path.
Key Benefits
Brings GigE Vision 3.0 to FPGA-based camera designs; RoCEv2 transport pushes data rates beyond 10 Gbps; reduces host involvement in streaming; released in step with the ratified standard for immediate design-in.
Applications
FPGA-based GigE Vision camera designs, high-throughput imaging devices, multi-camera systems and embedded vision platforms.
