Use Case
The CD8P-R 30.72 TB is the capacity flagship of the KIOXIA Gen5 read-intensive line. A single 2.5-inch bay holds 30 TB, so a 24-bay 2U server reaches roughly 737 TB raw, and the Gen5 host link removes the per-drive bandwidth ceiling that constrained the Gen4 generation. It runs in PCIe 4.0 slots as well, so the same drive can be populated on a current platform and moved to a Gen5 platform later.
