Overview
Peplink's Balance series is built for sites where a single WAN link is not acceptable: branch offices, retail chains, public safety networks, service providers and multi-cloud enterprise backbones. Rather than a plain failover router, Balance appliances bond and steer traffic across fibre, ethernet, cellular and 5G links so that sessions survive a link loss and each application class uses the connection that actually suits it.
The range spans the compact Balance 20X and B One dual-WAN branch routers, the 2.5 Gbps Balance 310 X, the fibre-plus-5G Balance 310 Fiber 5G, up to the Balance 5000 EC core router with 110 Gbps of stateful throughput and 40G/100G QSFP uplinks for data centre aggregation. Every model shares the same feature stack — SpeedFusion bandwidth bonding and hot failover, IPsec / OpenVPN / L2TP and GRE VPNs, BGP / OSPFv2 / RIPv2, VRRP HA and InControl 2 cloud management — so a deployment can scale from a shop to a core without changing management tooling.
Key Benefits
110 Gbps stateful throughput with 40G/100G QSFP on the Balance 5000 EC; SpeedFusion bandwidth bonding and sub-second hot failover across fibre, ethernet and 5G; WAN health checking with intelligent failover; eight load-balancing algorithms; BGP, OSPFv2, RIPv2 and VRRP HA; IPsec/OpenVPN/L2TP/GRE VPN termination; InControl 2 cloud management with SNMP and syslog; wired and wireless captive portal with RADIUS and LDAP authentication.
Applications
Branch and multi-site enterprise networking, retail chain connectivity, public safety and first-responder vehicle networks, cellular failover for cloud-hosted workloads, service provider edge aggregation, IoT and remote-site backhaul, and data centre core routing where 40G/100G QSFP uplinks are required.
