Overview
At CES 2026 ADATA and MSI showcased the world's first 4-rank 128 GB DDR5 CUDIMM memory modules. A 4-rank design places twice as many DRAM ranks on the module as a conventional 2-rank DIMM, doubling the number of DRAM chips and the total capacity per module.
MSI overclocked ADATA's DDR5-5600 CUDIMM modules to 10,000 MT/s on an in-development motherboard — a roughly 63 percent overclock — showing that high capacity and high speed can coexist with the clocked-unbuffered DIMM design. The module targets high-end workstations and AI-capable desktops that need maximum memory in limited DIMM slots.
