Overview
The SAPPHIRE EDGE AI Mini PC is a barebone system that packages AMD's Ryzen AI 300 Series into a chassis measuring 117 x 111 x 30 mm — under 0.4 litres. Three models cover the range: EDGE AI 370 on the 12-core Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with Radeon 890M graphics, EDGE AI 350 on the 8-core Ryzen AI 7 350 with Radeon 860M, and EDGE AI 340 on the 6-core Ryzen AI 5 340 with Radeon 840M. All three carry the same XDNA2 NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS, and SAPPHIRE quotes up to 80 TOPS of combined system AI performance.
What makes the platform interesting for edge and embedded use rather than just desktop computing is the balance of expandability and serviceability in that footprint. Memory is dual-channel DDR5 SO-DIMM up to 96 GB, and the BIOS lets the graphics allocation grow to 24 GB for larger local models. Storage and wireless are separate M.2 slots — a 2280 for the SSD, plus 2242 and 2230 slots — so adding a drive never costs you the WiFi module. A magnetic top cover gives tool-less access to both the SO-DIMMs and the M.2 bay, and the chassis supports VESA mounting for kiosk or panel installations.
I/O covers two HDMI 2.1 ports and two USB4 Type-C ports that also carry DisplayPort 1.4a, giving up to four display outputs, plus 2.5GbE, six USB ports and a 120 W external supply. The systems ship as barebones, so storage, memory and OS are specified to the deployment.
