Overview
The RuggON VORTEX (model VX-311) is a rugged, AI-enhanced 7-inch Windows vehicle-mount computer that replaces the long-running RuggVMC MT7000. It is designed for logistics, port operations, agriculture, mining, fleet/asset management and Electronic Logging (ELD).
At its heart is an Intel Core i5-1335UE (Raptor Lake) with 12 threads up to 4.5 GHz — driving a fully fanless design through integrated metal heat finning, so there are no moving parts to fail in the field. An optional Intel Atom x7211E variant covers lower-power deployments.
Flexibility is the VORTEX's signature: modular IO-A/IO-B/IO-C blocks can be oriented downward or rearward, with CAN bus, dual CAN FD, up to 8 antenna cutouts and 5G/Wi-Fi 6/SATCOM options. A 7 Wh backup battery enables graceful shutdown during power loss.
