Overview
The OnLogic Helix 520 Series is a family of fanless industrial computers built on Intel Core Ultra processors with an integrated NPU for edge AI inference. Five models share the same 520-series platform and scale from a compact low-profile automation node (HX521) up to chassis that accept a discrete GPU — the HX524 adds a PCIe Gen5 x16 slot for full-height half-length NVIDIA GPUs, while the HX525 carries an MXM AI GPU module (NVIDIA A1000, A2000 or A4500) inside a fanless-hybrid enclosure. The HX523 adds dual ModBay expansion for up to 10GbE LAN, PoE, M12, USB and fieldbus I/O.
Key Benefits
One platform, five form factors: the same 520-series baseboard and firmware spans base, hot-swap SATA, ModBay, PCIe-GPU and MXM-GPU configurations, so a single design carries from a low-profile DIN-rail controller to a GPU-accelerated vision node. Right-sized AI: the Intel Core Ultra NPU handles object detection, VLM inference and video analytics without a discrete card; add the HX524 or HX525 only where GPU throughput is genuinely required. Edge-grade reliability: fanless or fanless-hybrid thermal design, 0°C to 50°C operation (down to -40°C on selected configurations), IP50 dust protection on the base models, UL/IEC 62368-1 certification and a guaranteed 5-year hardware lifecycle.
