Overview

The ASRock Industrial NUC(S) Ultra 300 BOX Series is the Panther Lake generation of the company's compact box PC line, built on Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. Two CPU SKUs define the range: the Core Ultra X7 358H with a 4P+8E+4LPE configuration for the performance tier, and the Core Ultra 5 325 with 4P+4LPE for cost-sensitive deployments. Both support in-band ECC on memory, which matters for edge nodes running long-lived inference services where a silent memory error would corrupt results.

The BOX chassis carries two SO-DIMM slots for up to 128GB of DDR5 — 6400 MT/s on the Ultra 5 and 7200 MT/s on the Ultra 7 — plus dual M.2 Key M slots for NVMe storage, one at PCIe Gen5 x4 and one at Gen4 x4, with Intel VMD RAID 0/1 available. Display connectivity is unusually generous for the form factor: two HDMI 2.1 ports at up to 8K60, two DisplayPort 2.1/1.4a outputs over USB-C, and support for four independent displays, making the unit suitable as a signage player or a multi-head machine-vision host as well as a general edge computer.

Networking pairs a 2.5GbE Intel I226LM controller with vPro support against a second 2.5GbE port on the NUC variant (the NUCS drops the second NIC but adds a fourth USB Type-A), and Wi-Fi 7 with Bluetooth 6.0 is available through an M.2 Key-E 2230 socket. USB4/Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C and multiple Gen2 Type-A ports cover peripherals, cameras and external storage. The two sizes — 49mm tall for the NUC and 38mm for the NUCS — let integrators trade expansion height for a slimmer profile. The series was announced in January 2026.

Key Benefits

Latest silicon, compact footprint: Panther Lake cores plus Xe3-class graphics and NPU put local AI inference in a 1-litre fan-cooled enclosure. Memory headroom: 128GB DDR5 with in-band ECC suits multi-model inference and in-memory analytics at the edge. Display and I/O density: four independent outputs, triple 2.5GbE-capable networking and USB4/TB4 make one box serve vision, signage and control duties simultaneously.

Applications

Edge AI inference and video analytics, smart-retail and digital-signage players, industrial automation HMIs, machine-vision hosts with multi-camera capture, kiosk and queue-management systems, and general-purpose compact industrial computing where PCIe Gen5 NVMe and 8K output are required.
