Overview
Supermicro's OCP ORv3 21-inch rack family, listed as model SRK-440ESM-7512014, is a 44OU open rack built to the Open Compute Project's Open Rack V3 mechanical and power specification. The 21-inch width exceeds the traditional 19-inch EIA envelope to increase airflow and accommodate ORv3 power shelves and busbars.
The rack is rated for a 5,000 lb (2,268 kg) static load with an IP20 rating and ships with busbars included, removing the need to specify power distribution separately. Supermicro offers it in both 44OU and 48OU heights and in black or white finishes.
It is the chassis intended for Supermicro's expanded ORv3 line, which includes a 2U GPU system on a 21-inch tray carrying dual Intel Xeon 6 6700-series processors, a 1400 A OCP-inspired busbar with power shelves, DC-SCM support and the NVIDIA HGX B300 8-GPU platform with 5th-generation NVLink, alongside FlexTwin dual-node trays and 2U 4-node / 1U 4-node rack-scale solutions.
