Overview
The InWin IW-RS316-07 combines sixteen front hot-swap 2.5/3.5-inch trays with seven full-height PCIe slots, so a single 3U chassis can host both a large drive array and multiple add-in cards. The SAS3 + PCIe Gen4 backplane carries a Broadcom SAS 35 x 36R expander and offers either eight SlimSAS or eight OCuLink host links.
Drives run as sixteen SAS/SATA, or eight SAS/SATA plus eight NVMe. Four 80 x 38 mm hot-swap fans at 12,000 RPM handle airflow, and up to two CRPS Platinum modules are supported from 550 W to 1600 W. Net weight is 17.63 kg.
