Overview
NVIDIA IGX Orin 700 takes the Jetson AGX Orin silicon and packages it as an industrial-grade, enterprise-ready edge AI platform. It adds the elements industrial and medical machine builders need but cannot easily design themselves: ConnectX-7 networking, a baseboard management controller, a dedicated functional safety microcontroller and long-term enterprise software support.
The 2048-core Ampere GPU with 64 Tensor Cores, 12-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU, dual NVDLA engines and a PVA v2 vision accelerator run the same NVIDIA software stack as Jetson, while 64 GB of ECC LPDDR5 memory and a 500 GB NVMe system drive provide ample capacity for multimodal sensor workloads. An optional RTX 6000 Ada Generation GPU scales total AI performance to 1705 sparse TOPS.
NVIDIA ConnectX-7 delivers two 100GbE ports plus a 32-lane Gen5 PCIe switch for high-bandwidth sensor and network ingest. The Infineon Aurix TC397 safety MCU and Aspeed AST2600 BMC with Microchip ERoT address functional safety and platform security, with ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 as the design targets. IGX Orin 700 ships as a MicroATX board kit for custom carrier and chassis integration.
Key Benefits
Functional safety built in with a dedicated safety MCU targeting ISO 26262 and IEC 61508. ConnectX-7 dual 100GbE and a 32-lane Gen5 switch handle multi-sensor, multi-camera ingest. ECC LPDDR5 and an integrated BMC bring server-grade reliability and remote management to the edge. Up to 1705 sparse TOPS with an optional RTX 6000 Ada GPU. Up to 10 years of support with NVIDIA AI Enterprise, and the NVIDIA-Certified Systems program gives integrators a validated platform baseline.
Applications
Autonomous mobile robots and AMRs, collaborative and surgical robotics, industrial machine vision and inspection, medical imaging systems, autonomous vehicles and mobile machinery, and any safety-critical physical AI deployment requiring functional safety certification.
