Overview

The DFI X6X-ORN is a fully sealed, IP67-rated rugged edge AI computer built on NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX and Orin Nano modules. Unlike the standard X6-ORN (IP30 indoor variant), the X6X-ORN is purpose-engineered for extreme outdoor and harsh industrial environments — maritime, agriculture, construction, and intelligent transportation — where water, dust, shock, and vibration are constant threats.

All I/O is routed through waterproof circular connectors: four M12 X-code Gigabit Ethernet ports (two with PoE 802.3af), M20 USB 3.0/2.0 connectors, M12 B-code power input, and an M23 A-code breakout for RS232, CAN BUS 2.0, and isolated GPIO. Dual GMSL2 FAKRA Z-code camera ports enable long-range vision and LiDAR sensor connectivity for autonomous mobile robots and outdoor perception systems.

Compared to the Vecow RAC-1000 (which uses the higher-power AGX Orin), the X6X-ORN offers the same IP67/M12 ruggedness at a lower power tier with Orin NX/Nano modules — making it a more compact, energy-efficient choice for moderate AI workloads that still demand all-weather reliability. MIL-STD-810H shock/vibration compliance, optional out-of-band management, and 5G/WiFi 6E expansion round out the platform for mission-critical deployments.
