Overview

The Contec DX Series is a family of rugged, fanless edge AI computers purpose-built to bridge the gap between NVIDIA Jetson developer kits and field-deployable industrial systems. Spanning three performance tiers — the DX-M2300 with Jetson AGX Orin (up to 275 TOPS), DX-U2200 with Jetson Orin NX (up to 100 TOPS), and DX-U2100 with Jetson Orin Nano (up to 40 TOPS) — the DX Series addresses the practical challenges of moving AI from the lab to production environments.

Every DX Series unit ships with NVIDIA JetPack and Jetson Linux (L4T) pre-installed, enabling immediate deployment of models developed on Jetson developer kits without OS configuration. Contec's fanless passive cooling design, refined through decades of BOX-PC embedded expertise, eliminates moving parts for higher reliability in dusty or vibration-prone environments. A unique power failure protection system redirects SSD writes to an overlay area in device memory, preventing data corruption during sudden power loss events.

All models share a common I/O framework: dual Gigabit Ethernet, four USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, RS-232C and RS-422A/485 serial interfaces, CAN bus connectivity, HDMI display output, and audio I/O. The wide 12-36VDC input range and -20°C to 60°C operating temperature make the DX Series suitable for factory floors, outdoor kiosks, transportation infrastructure, and smart city deployments.
