Use Case
SN6800-LD exists to collapse the number of spine switches in a very large AI fabric: one 5U chassis terminates 512 optical 800G links, so a 2,048-GPU cluster at 400G-per-GPU fan-in can be aggregated by a handful of switches instead of a full spine layer. Fewer switches means fewer failure domains and less fibre management in the middle of row.
