The NVIDIA Quantum-2 QM9701 MQM9701-NS2R is the 48 VDC member of the QM97XX family — a managed, standard-depth 1U switch with 64 NDR 400 Gb/s ports on 32 OSFP connectors, supplied with a rail kit.
The 48 VDC input is the defining feature. As rack densities climb past 100 kW, 48 VDC distribution removes a conversion stage between the rack bus and the switch, which is why DGX SuperPOD-class deployments and modern high-efficiency data halls standardise on DC rack power. Specifying an AC switch into a DC rack means adding an inverter — the wrong answer at this power level.
