Overview
The Intel XL710-QDA2 is the 40GbE member of the Intel Ethernet 700 Series: two QSFP+ ports, each capable of 40GbE or 4 × 10GbE breakout, on a single x8 PCIe 3.0 slot.
It is the common upgrade path for 10G fabrics that have outgrown four-port cards but do not yet need 100G — 40G to the leaf switch, with breakout providing 10G fan-out to individual nodes.
