Intel E835 — Low-Power 200GbE & 25GbE NIC Family
The Intel E835 is Intel's latest Ethernet controller family, introduced across 2026 industry events (HPE Discover, Computex). Positioned for cost-optimized connectivity, it serves servers that still connect to 100GbE/25GbE fabrics rather than the 400–800GbE AI build-out networks. Intel's headline claim is roughly half the power of NVIDIA's ConnectX-6 Dx for comparable throughput.
Model Lineup
The family spans 200GbE-class and 25GbE adapters:
- E835-CQDA2 — dual 100GbE-class QSFP28 ports (200GbE-capable), low-profile, sub-$600 recommended.
- E835-CQDA1 — single-port 200GbE from a QSFP28 cage.
- E835-XXVDA2 — dual-port 25GbE SFP28, ~$216 recommended.
- E835-XXVDA4 — quad-port 25GbE SFP28 on a low-profile card (mid-$500 range).
- E835-XXVDA4F — full-height quad-port 25GbE.
- E835-XXVDA4 OCP NIC 3.0 — SFF OCP NIC 3.0 with pull-tab, 4×25GbE.
Offloads & Deployment
Common controller capabilities include RoCEv2, iWARP, and DCB, giving RDMA support for lower-cost AI and storage clusters. The E835 is the natural successor to Intel's E810 (100GbE) and XXV710 (25GbE) lines and is a drop-in option for servers retiring those adapters.
QS Compute supplies Intel E835 adapters in low-profile, full-height, and OCP NIC 3.0 form factors for AI, storage, and general-purpose server connectivity.
