6× vs BlueField-3
Early availability 2026 (Vera Rubin)
The NVIDIA BlueField-4 DPU combines a 64-core Grace CPU (Arm Neoverse V2) with integrated ConnectX-9 800G networking to deliver 6× the compute of BlueField-3 and support AI factories up to 4× larger. With 128GB of LPDDR5X and a 512GB on-board SSD, it independently runs complex containerized microservices at the network edge of the data center.
BlueField-4 powers the new Inference Context Memory Storage Platform and the ASTRA (Advanced Secure Trusted Resource Architecture) security architecture, acting as a single trusted control point for secure provisioning, isolation, and operation of large-scale AI environments.
Available as a PCIe Gen6 x16 NIC or as a self-hosted device, BlueField-4 is a core component of the Vera Rubin NVL144 rack system and a cornerstone of NVIDIA's third-generation confidential computing.
