Overview
The KIOXIA XG10 series is the successor to the XG8 line and takes the M.2-based XG family to a PCIe Gen5 x4 interface with NVMe 2.0d compliance. It is offered in 512 GB, 1 TB, 2 TB and 4 TB capacities in an M.2 2280 single-sided form factor, and reaches sequential read speeds up to 14,000 MB/s and write speeds up to 12,000 MB/s.
The 512 GB and 1 TB models use BiCS FLASH generation 6 TLC NAND, while the 2 TB and 4 TB models use generation 8 TLC NAND with CMOS Directly Bonded to Array (CBA) technology. Compared with the XG8, KIOXIA quotes up to 2x sequential read and more than 2x sequential write performance. An optional self-encrypting (SED) variant supports TCG Opal 2.02.
