The Kioxia BG6 KBG60ZNS512G is a 512 GB client-class NVMe SSD in the M.2 2280 single-sided form factor, using Kioxia's BiCS FLASH TLC NAND on a PCIe 4.0 x4 / NVMe 1.4 interface. It is the endurance-and-capacity sweet spot of the BG6 line for embedded and thin-client designs.
The single-sided M.2 2280-S2 layout matters for embedded carriers, handhelds and ultra-thin clients where a double-sided module will not fit. The BG6 family also offers a TCG Opal 2.01 self-encrypting variant published under the KBG6AZNS512G model number for designs that require hardware encryption at rest.
