Overview

Delkin builds industrial flash storage for applications where a commercial SSD is simply out of specification. The portfolio spans three physical classes: a soldered BGA SSD for designs that must survive extreme shock and vibration, mSATA modules for board-level storage in legacy and embedded designs, and 2.5 in SATA drives for systems that still use a standard drive bay.

The Utility+ BGA SSD is the performance end of the line. It combines a PCIe Gen 4 x4 NVMe 1.4 interface in a 291-ball Type 1620 package with an operating range of -40 C to +105 C, sequential reads up to 3,650 MB/s and a full industrial data-protection set — LDPC and RAID ECC, end-to-end path protection, power loss protection, AES256 encryption, RPMB and host-controlled thermal management. Because it is soldered down, there is no connector to vibrate loose, which is why it is specified for security-intensive and high-vibration equipment.

At the other end, the A370 SLC mSATA and S370 SLC 2.5 in drives use single-level cell flash for maximum endurance in boot and data-logging roles, while the Utility+ Industrial 3D mSATA and 2.5 in families trade some endurance for capacity up to 1 TB or 2 TB. Across the whole range Delkin locks the bill of materials down to flash, controller and firmware and requires a part number change for any substitution, with advance notice and last-time-buy support when a part is discontinued — the mechanism that keeps long-lifecycle industrial designs supplyable.

Key Benefits

-40 to +105 C on the Gen 4 BGA family for the harshest embedded environments. Soldered-down BGA eliminates connector failure under shock and vibration. SLC and industrial 3D options let designers trade endurance against capacity. Locked BOM with lifecycle management protects multi-year production runs.

Applications

Aerospace, defence and avionics storage, transportation and rail, energy and industrial metering, medical devices, security and surveillance recorders, and any embedded design requiring a qualified flash part with a controlled bill of materials.
