Overview
Advantech's PPC-400 and PPC-600 series sit above the RISC PPC-100W tier and cover the two most common industrial requirements: fanless widescreen panels that survive harsh environments, and configurable panels that can carry serious compute.
PPC-400 is the industry-oriented family. It pairs a fanless metal enclosure and a true-flat IP66 front panel with Intel Atom, Celeron or Core processing, a wide operating temperature range and real expansion — PCI, PCIe and M.2 — so a single panel can host industrial I/O, frame grabbers or acceleration cards alongside the display.
PPC-600 is the scalable tier: the chassis is built around standard mini-ITX motherboards, so the compute, memory and expansion profile is chosen at configuration time rather than fixed by Advantech. That makes it the natural fit when an application needs workstation-class x86 performance inside a panel footprint.
QS Compute supplies both families configured to order, including the companion power management, mounting kits and RFID peripherals from Advantech's panel PC accessory line.
Key Benefits
One platform, two extremes: pick PPC-400 for ruggedised fanless deployment or PPC-600 for high compute and heavy expansion. Fanless throughout PPC-400: sealed operation with no filter maintenance. Real expansion: PCI/PCIe and M.2 mean vision cards, fieldbus cards and accelerators fit inside the panel. Wide DC input: direct cabinet or machine supply without an external converter.
Applications
Harsh-environment operator stations, washdown-adjacent food and chemical HMIs, factory automation and SCADA consoles, machine vision operator terminals, high-performance industrial control rooms, semiconductor and electronics production lines, and OEM equipment front panels requiring workstation-class x86 compute.
