Overview
Panel PCs have traditionally been terminals — a screen, a touch controller and enough compute to draw an HMI. The IEI Aura Series changes that by putting a 6 TOPS neural processing unit behind the glass. Vision tasks that previously required a separate edge box, a camera link and a network round trip now run on the panel itself.
The platform is built on the Rockchip RK3576 SoC, offered across 10.1-inch to 23.8-inch models so the same firmware and application image can serve a compact control station and a large-format inspection bench. The front panel is IP65 rated with a flat-bezel PCAP touchscreen carrying anti-glare and anti-UV coatings, and it accepts a wide 10 V to 28 V DC input so it tolerates the voltage sag that industrial supplies routinely deliver.
Third-party use cases named by IEI cluster around two themes: smart manufacturing and logistics. On the line, the NPU handles real-time visual inspection and can power facial recognition for secure operator access using the integrated camera. In the warehouse, the same hardware performs automated barcode scanning and object dimensioning at the workstation, removing the external processing unit from the workflow entirely.
