Overview
The SYZYGY Hub SZG-HUB1450 is a compact FPGA evaluation and development platform built on an AMD Artix UltraScale+ XCAU10P device. Inside the 96,000-logic-cell fabric it pairs 400 DSP slices with 3.5 MiB of block RAM and a 1 GiB DDR4 buffer on a 16-bit bus, clocked by a 156.25 MHz LVDS oscillator specified at 2.5 ps RMS jitter.
The board exists to make SYZYGY peripherals easy to use. Three SYZYGY Standard ports carry HP and HD I/O banks whose VCCO is negotiated through SmartVIO between 1.2 V and 3.3 V, so a carrier can host a high-speed ADC module, a DAC, a 3.4 MP camera, a multi-channel DAQ front end or a Gigabit Ethernet port without building a custom board for each. Host connectivity is a single USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C link at up to 10 Gbps through the FrontPanel SDK, with a second USB-C port able to supply up to 45 W for heavier peripheral loads.
Key Benefits
Three SYZYGY Standard ports turn one FPGA board into a dozen instrument configurations. SmartVIO 1.2-3.3 V negotiation makes peripheral banks electrically compatible without rework. 10 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2 host link keeps streaming instruments from bottlenecking. 160+ MB/s class FrontPanel SDK transfers remove the need for a custom driver and host application.
Applications
Instrumentation and data-acquisition front ends, software-defined radio, machine-vision prototyping, photonics and LiDAR experiments, test-and-measurement fixtures, and edge-AI sensor fusion research.
