Overview
MachXO5-NX TDQ is the latest member of Lattice's MachXO5 secure control FPGA line, and the family was named a gold winner in the First-to-Market Innovation category of the 2026 Globee Awards for Technology on 21 July 2026.
Secure control FPGAs are the small, always-on programmable devices that handle board power sequencing, reset control, glue logic and platform security — including root-of-trust and secure-boot functions — alongside a CPU, BMC or ASIC. They are chosen for low power and deterministic behaviour rather than compute throughput, which is why they sit in the control tier rather than the vision or acceleration tier of a board.
Lattice's MachXO5-NX devices use the Lattice Nexus platform and are supported by Radiant for the RTL-to-bitstream flow. The TDQ variant is the security-focused configuration recognised by the award panel.
Key Benefits
Secure control FPGA for always-on platform management, low power suitable for standby domains, award-recognised first-to-market feature set, and Lattice Radiant tool support.
Applications
Server board management and root-of-trust, communications infrastructure control, industrial control and glue-logic consolidation, and secure boot / platform attestation.
