Overview
Altera announced engineering-sample availability of its next-generation wideband Agilex 9 Direct RF-Series SoC FPGAs, led by the AGRW039 device, at the International Microwave Symposium (IMS2026) in June 2026. The Direct RF-Series integrates RF, compute and memory to simplify system architectures for high-performance RF systems.
Altera cites a 40% increase in performance over the previous generation of its Direct RF portfolio. The devices target aerospace, defence and advanced communications systems; production silicon and development kits are scheduled for Q3 2026.
