Overview

The OnLogic Karbon 700-SE-2 (K700-SE-2) is a passively cooled rugged edge computer for the harshest industrial and mobile environments. It takes up to an Intel Core i7 or Xeon processor and dissipates heat entirely through its chassis, so there is no fan to draw in dust or to fail, and it runs across an operating range of -40 to 70 deg C with a 35 W CPU.

The enclosure is tested to MIL-STD-810H for shock and vibration and accepts a wide 9-36 VDC input, which lets the same machine run from a vehicle electrical system or an industrial DC bus. Connectivity is broad for a fanless box: three DisplayPort outputs, three Gigabit Ethernet ports, six USB 3.1 Gen1 ports, two RS-232/422/485 serial ports, an isolated 8-bit digital I/O block and a 3-pin CAN bus interface. It is certified to CE, FCC, RCM, UKCA and UL.
