The Kioxia CM7-R 15.36 TB (KCM71RJE15T3) is the EDSFF E3.S member of Kioxia's PCIe 5.0 CM7 read-intensive family. Built on BiCS FLASH 3D TLC with 1 drive-write-per-day endurance, it targets business intelligence, OLTP, software-defined storage and virtualisation tiers where read bandwidth matters more than write endurance.
E3.S 7.5 mm packaging roughly doubles the number of drives a 1U or 2U front bay can hold versus 15 mm U.2, which is why the CM7-R E3.S is the common choice in current-generation 1U NVMe servers and AI data-lake nodes.
