Use Case
The CD8P-R is the Gen5 read-intensive tier: the same 2.5-inch U.2 envelope as the CD8-R but on a PCIe 5.0 host link, which removes the link bandwidth ceiling for the drive itself. Gen5 drives are backward compatible with Gen4 slots, so a node can be populated now and moved to a Gen5 platform later without re-buying flash.
