Use Case
The CD8-V is the mixed-use tier of the KIOXIA CD8 family: 3 DWPD instead of 1, so it absorbs the write amplification of databases, virtualisation clusters and log-heavy pipelines that would wear out a read-intensive drive. At 12.8 TB it is the largest member, which makes it the natural home for a write-heavy data set that would otherwise need mirroring across smaller drives.
